When we want to suggest something to someone, we can use the following expression.
· Maybe you could . . .
· I'd like to suggest that . . .
· I suppose . . .
· How about . . .
· Why don't . . .
· What about . . .
· You'd better . . .
· Shall we . . . ?
· I'd say that you'd better . . .
· I recommend that . . .
· Let me suggest that . . .
· I suggest that . . .
· It would probably be a good idea to . . .
We can also use instructions with imperative sentence for giving suggestion.
· Let's go . . .
· Go to her house to apologize.
· You can ask your teacher to give a remedial test.
The following are the responses for accepting the suggestion.
· Oh, all right.
· That would be very interesting.
· That's a very good idea.
· Well, yes. You're right.
· Yes, i certainly will.
· Yes, i'd love to.
· Good/okay/right
· Yes, i suppose i'd better.
· That sounds like a good suggestion.
The following are the responses for refusing the suggestion.
